Framed begins with an eight pointed star which denotes life.

The design quickly becomes square with textured pattern rounds which are framed with simple back post stitches.

As you work through the pattern you can repeat any of the patterned sections, the instructions are given for the stitch count repeats you will need for each section.

Some of the stitches you will recognise from my other designs and some are new.

This is a blanket you can grow as large as you like, or stop at any point for a smaller project.

With the world health crisis that we are all effected by, I wanted to do my bit to cheer everyone up, and so I am publishing this pattern earlier than planned and at a reduced cost for a limited time.

I planned to coincide the publication with the launch of the glorious new Stylecraft Special Double Knit colours that will be available in just a few weeks, but with the uncertainty of availability and especially overseas shipping we are unsure when you would be able to get the new colours and the planned yarn packs.

Therefore, you will see some of the colours listed as Top Secret and why there is not a colours per round list available, these will both be added at a later date.

I am also encouraging you to make this as a stash buster project, so let’s see what amazing colour combinations your creative minds can come up with.

Here are the gorgeous Framed blankets made by my wonderful testing team.

Jane went rogue and made two framed blankets, one in baby size and the other with an extension using the Star Stitch rounds.

Jane’s Ravelry Page for Baby blanket.

Jane’s Ravelry Page for full size blanket with extension of Star Stitch rounds.

Jane also made 2 cushions by working up to Round 29 and then joining the two squares together, you can find the details of what she used and see photos on her Ravelry pages Square 1 and Square 2.
