Splanna is a modern Cornish vocabulary name meaning “brighter.”
It is a derivative of the name Helen, which means light, bright and beautiful.
This beautiful blanket has lots of texture, as you would expect from my designs.
There are two official yarn packs and the pattern has the colour used per round included at the beginning of each round.
But you can, of course, use as many or few colours as you like to personalise your own Splanna blanket, please scroll down to see some amazing examples made by my testing team.
There are also full video tutorials available in US terms.
Each video is approx. 35 to 45 minutes long.
You will also need the US terms pdf to work from as not all stitch counts are given in the videos.
This is the version I made for the video tutorials.
I used Stylecraft Special DK with a 4mm hook.
Here are some of the gorgeous Splanna blankets made by my fabulous testing team.
