Our 8th Virtue is Love.

The bestowing of unconditional love has a positive impact on the lives of others.

Showing a genuine concern for the good of others, being able to view all things with compassion.

Acting in a caring, thoughtful way towards all things constitutes unconditional LOVE.

Helpful hints and tips.

This Crochet A Long will remain available as a free pattern.

Read the pattern carefully and familiarise yourself with the abbreviations, all special stitches are listed at the beginning of the pattern and have links to separate US terms video tutorials.
This weeks special stitch are simple, but I wonder if you have seen the way I make a Perfect Picot?
If you have then that is fabulous, if not, then do check out the video as, even if I do say so myself, it is a game changer.

Follow the hints, they are there to help you.

♥ Use stitch markers, they are your friend and will keep you on the right path.

Check your stitch count after every repeat, it is essential to the shape of this design and will save having to rip/frog your work. The only frogs we want are the kind that turns into a Prince!

Use the videos to help you if you need to. Video tutorials are in US terms.

Remember you can always ask for help, the best place to do that is in my Facebook group Helen’s Hookaholics. If you do not use Facebook, then please email me using the contact form here on my website.

Extending Virtue

If you wish to extend your Virtue blanket you will need to do that before you start the final part, as part 8 forms the border.

You can extend by using the previous rounds from part 5, 6 or 7, all you need to do is a little maths to make sure your stitch counts work with the changes you make.

Once you have extended as much as you want to make sure your stitch count is a multiple of 9 plus 8.
eg: final round – R87 = 231 stitches plus the corner space. 25 x 9 = 225 + 6 = 233
You will then start with R88, the 1st Round of part 8, and continue to follow the pattern, but use more repeats to fit with your increased number of stitches.
