Designed while I was travelling around New Zealand in 2017.
Inspired by the agapanthus flowers that grow all over the islands.
This small hanging mandala is my gift to you.

This simple hanging mandala is quick and easy to make and will brighten up any room or outside space.
I recommend using a double knit cotton yarn like the gorgeous new Stylecraft Naturals Organic Cotton.
There are 38 gorgeous shades in this new yarn from Stylecraft and you can read all about it HERE.
Stylecraft Naturals Organic Cotton is available to purchase at Wool Warehouse.
You will need a 4mm G hook and a 10 inch / 25.5cm hoop plus any decorative bits and bobs to personalise your Island Dreams mandala.
I used Stylecraft Classique Cotton in Vintage Pink.
Classique is now discontinued but this small mandala is a great way to use up those odd balls of yarn you have hanging around in your stash.
I used Stylecraft Naturals Organic Cotton
25m/28yds – Azure
12.5m/14yds – Faded Denim
17m/18.5 yds – Gypsum
And added some feathers and beads.
Here are the Island Dreams made by my wonderful testing team.
As you will see some are simple and some got creative with the embelishments.
