Mandala Madness Part 3
You are my sunshine…you make me happy when skies are grey…
A line from a song I remember well from my childhood!
.
It always makes me smile when I start humming it…just as all the amazing photos you have all been sharing make me smile, such amazing colour combinations, so much beautiful creativity. And the single colour mandalas show the texture of the stitches perfectly.
Thank you for all the wonderful comments, it gives me great joy to share my passion.♥
Before we start this week I would like to clarify a couple of points… you will not need to change hook size..keep with the same size all the way through.
Also you will not need to block your Mandala Madness until right at the very end.
There will be a couple of weeks where things get wobbly, but it is all part of the cunning plan…. if you do block, and stretch your work it could make it harder in the next part…. so just a gentle warning 🙂
This part of our Mandala Madness is created to look like a sun with its rays beaming out, spreading light all over the world. 🙂
♥ There is another new stitch for many of you, the Ruffle stitch, another of my favourites. It is quite simple, and very effective, but takes a little concentration. Follow the link above for a full tutorial.
♥ We will also be working with 2 colours at the same time this week. For some of you this will be the first time, so please check out Esther’s video if the photo tutorial is not enough help. Those of you working with just one colour will just need to ignore the colour change instructions.
♥ There are lots of single crochet this week and you will be forming points, I suggest using stitch markers to help you to identify the ch-1 space in each point.
♥ If you haven’t read the introduction post, then please find it here. You will find all the information on Yarn Packs, how much yarn you will need, hook sizes, the finished size of your blanket and all the resources available.
