B-b-baby is a beautifully versatile baby blanket.
There are 6 small squares for you to mix and match.
5 patterned squares and 1 solid/textured square.
The photo tutorial pdf gives you step-by-step photos so that you can clearly see what each round and repeat should look like.
Plus if you are a more visual person or a beginner to crochet there are also video tutorials in US terms that take you through step by step, with lots of handy hints and tips for working the special stitches, and for joining your squares.
Because of the nature of this pattern, there are no yarn packs available.
I used Stylecraft Wondersoft Cashmere Feel which is a Double Knit yarn, perfect for babies as it has a fabulously soft feel and with 50% Polyamide
50% Acrylic it washes and wears wonderfully.
I have included a meters/yards used per square downloadable pdf so that you can calculate the amount of yarn you will need depending on how many of the squares you make, and how many colours you use.
Simply use the chart to note your own colours and then total up the amount of yarn you need in each colour for each square and then multiply by the number of squares you want to make.
B-b-baby yarn amounts per round
For Double Knit yarn with a 4mm G hook and a blanket 6 x 6 squares you will need a total of approx. 735 m/800 yds
Finished size: 85 cm / 33 ½ inches
Should you wish to use an Aran/ Worsted weight yarn and a 5 mm H hook you will need approx. 25% more yarn.
Finished size 6 x 6 squares approx. 109 cm / 43 inches

Here are the gorgeous B-b-baby Blankets made by my amazing testing team.
Small squares are so versatile, you can use them to make cushions, bags, and garments.
I used 1 of each of the patterned squares and 4 solid squares to make a cushion facing.
I changed the border slightly, substituting the bead stitch for crossed double crochet.
Stylecraft Naturals Organic cotton in Indigo Wash, Faded Denim and Gypsum.
Mirjam went rogue and made a fabulous bag, using both the patterned and solid squares.
