Joining squares with single crochet stitches is one of the most basic joins you will ever use.
However, it is a join that I have always been frustrated by as when working with normal single crochet the join always slants to on side and never looks really neat….
Until now.
The alternative flat single crochet join sits beautifully straight and flat on top of your work.
Photo 1 shows a normal single crochet join and you can see it slants to one side.
Photo 2 shows the flat single crochet join which sits flat and straight.
The video tutorial below shows you how to make both variations of this simple join, including how to get neat joins as you work across corners of adjoining squares.
