Darling Buds is my 11th Afghan square for this year, 2016.
This very pretty square is made up of a circle of flower buds and petals, surrounded by a very simple frame.
The buds are made very simply with V stitches and popcorns. This is a combination of stitches which I never tire of, and who doesn’t love flowers and flower buds?
12” Afghan Square
Using worsted/Aran weight Yarn, with a 5.5mm hook.
Approx. 10” with Double Knitting, with a 4mm hook.
I used Stylecraft Special Double knitting in Cream, Cypress, Pale Rose, Boysenberry and Fuchsia Purple.
And for the colour way below I used Lemon, Citron, Meadow, Camel, and Walnut.
Stylecraft yarns are available from Deramores, and Woolwarehouse, they ship all over the world, when you use the links below I receive a very small commission, at no cost to you.
♥ Bless you ♥
These squares can make fantastic scrap projects, with different colours in every round.
You can use just one or two colours, or you can go crazy with all the colours of the rainbow.
The pattern is available to purchase in my Ravelry Store, and this time you have the option of a full photo tutorial or a written pattern, with just a small photo, for those of you who prefer to print your patterns.
And the pattern is available in both US and UK terms, you will have access to all the options, when you download the pattern.
If you love this new design, please show it some love on Ravelry.
